Hold Fast

Hey Champs!

Today, we are going to look at 1 Thessalonians 1:21. The Word tells us to prove all things; hold fast that which is good. In our everyday life, we are going to run across many situations, and in every situation, we are told in the word of God to prove all things!

Is the situation that I am facing today a plot of the enemy to get me discouraged and give up? If so, I need to hold fast to that which is good. Paul used a champion phrase right here: “Hold fast.” Not only did he tell us to hold, but he is very specific with how you are supposed to be holding. He tells us to hold fast!  In other words, when a situation comes your way, you need to respond quickly to the situation by holding fast to that which is good. Do not give your mind to worry or fear; but answer the situation with faith and the Word of God, which is good. React quickly to the situation with the Word of God.

The amplified version states it like this: “But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.”

So, Champions, let’s make a commitment this week to recognize and hold fast to that which is good. Hold fast to Jesus and His Word. Hold fast to peace and joy over fear and dread. Hold fast to “by His stripes I am healed” instead of the doctor’s report. Hold fast to your faith in God’s Word instead of the what the world may be saying. Make a commitment to quickly respond to a situation with God’s Word.

One Generation

Dear Partners and Friends,

Psalms 145:4 states, “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.” It is the heart of God that every generation praise His name! His word even tells us that if we will not praise Him ourselves, He will get the rocks to do it. God does not ask too much out of us in return for His great act of love. He only asked us to love Him as much as He loves us! In return for His great love, we praise His name.

As part of our loyalty to God for His great love, we praise Him ourselves and share with one generation to the next, the great love of God. C4C youth rally is one of those many ways that we reach out to generations. It is our job, as one generation, to share the wonderful works of God to the next generation so that we can praise God together with one voice.

During the youth rally we see many generations sharing God and praising His name, just as the scripture states in Psalms 145:4: “One generation shall praise thy works to another.” It’s our heart to share God’s goodness, God’s love, God’s Mercy, and God’s Grace to the next generation. Our heart is to strengthen the next generation to walk in His power and His might, as they go throughout their days in school and the workforce.

So, partners and friends, we ask for your help during this time. We would like to ask you to join us in prayer over the youth, leaders, parents, and pastors that attended this year’s C4C youth rally. Please pray with us that the lives of every youth that came to the rally this year will continue to be changed, never to be the same, all for the Glory of God. One generation shall praise His works to the next, bringing Glory to God!

I Got Free

Hello Champions!

We just finished our 19th annual C4C Youth Rally! What a great time in the Lord we all had! We all came expecting to receive from God, and I believe that we did. The Lord had laid on our hearts that people would receive what they came expecting to receive. If you came expecting to receive a miracle, you would. If you came expecting to receive an answer, you would. If you came expecting to make new friends and to have a good time, you would. God was willing to meet us wherever we were at just because He’s a good and loving God!

On the last night of the rally, the Holy Spirit spoke these words out over the whole group: “I got free at C4C!” We truly believe that no matter what people came with, they got free of it during their time with the Lord! Free from depression, free from anxiety, free from diseases, pain, and suffering - as the whole group kept declaring and decreeing it, by the power of the Holy Spirit, they were being set free!

In Psalms 118:5, the word states: “Out of my distress I called upon the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free and in a large place.” The Word tells us that we are never alone - that God is always with us. We are never alone! We have the Holy Spirit inside of us, and we are never alone because Jesus is always making intercession for us! So, when we call out in times of trouble, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are there to answer us and set us free. Not only set us free, but bring us into a “large” amount of freedom. Praise God!

In John 8:36 the word says, “So, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” When the Lord sets you free, you are free in a “large place” - in a big way! If you were not part of the C4C Youth Rally and want to be set free, I have a word for you to declare over yourself, “I got free because of Thee (God).” Once you accepted Jesus as your savior, you were set free! Now, you just have to remind the enemy who you are in Christ and that you are set free from anything the enemy might try to put on you.

Champion Partners and Friends, we are set free because of Thee! Thank you, Lord, for blessing me! We pray for His peace and joy to be part of your life this week.
