Life of Praise Pt. 6

Hello Partner and Friends!

I am so thankful you all are back with us today! We will be finishing up with our discussion on a life of praise. Once again, let us look at the key scripture found in Ephesians 1:12:

As a result, we- the first to place our hope in the anointed one- will live in a way to bring Him glory and praise.

Today, we are talking about the final way that we can live a life that brings glory and praise to God - to walk in our inheritance that Jesus so graciously provided for us. In Ephesians 1:11, the Word states, “Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.”

We have received an inheritance the day we accepted Jesus as our savior. In the corporate world they would call this your benefit package. In God’s eyes, it’s called your inheritance! In this inheritance’s package, you receive many things. We are going to focus on ten of these benefits:

  1. Salvation (Ephesians 2:8)

  2. Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14)

  3. Spiritual Revelation (Ephesians 1:17)

  4. Love (Romans 5:5)

  5. Peace (John 14:27)

  6. Joy (John 15:11)

  7. Strength (Isaiah 41:10)

  8. Mercy/Grace (Hebrews 4:16)

  9. Health (1 Peter 2:24)

  10. Provision (Philippians 4:19)

Walking in the above ten gifts brings God glory and praise. When you have a life filled with peace, joy, love, strength, health and provision, your day-to-day walk brings God glory. We, as Christians, sometimes don’t realize how much it honors God when we choose to walk in joy during a trial. Our life should so shine with the above ten benefits that is hard not to notice you and the benefits that envelop you. But, the adversary tries to talk us out of walking in what belongs to us every day because he knows if we do, we will bring God glory and praise. He knows that if others see us walking in this inheritance, others will want to know why and they will ask. He knows we will be able to give God praise with our answer. You see, Champions, we have such a great opportunity to bring God glory and praise by walking in our inherited benefits from a wonderful loving God. Let’s fight, by the Spirit, for everything that belongs to us through the inheritance given by Christ upon our salvation. Let us hold fast to what belongs to us and walk in the above ten benefits; and we WILL bring God glory and praise.

Life of Praise Pt. 5

Hello Partner and Friends!

Today, let’s continue talking about letting our life be one that brings God glory and praise. If you’re just joining us, take a look back at the last few blogs to get caught up.

Our key scripture for this series is found in Ephesians 1:12:

As a result, we - the first to place our hope in the anointed one- will live in a way to bring Him glory and praise.

Today, we are talking about the fourth way that we can have our lives bring glory and praise to God, and that is by loving others. We are going to look at a key scripture today concerning this very thing. I pray that it brings great understanding into your ability to love others.

In 1 Peter 4:8-11 (NLT) the word of God tells us, “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

I have italicized some keywords that will help us know how to show love towards others:

  • Be cheerful with others. Even when you don’t feel like it, override your flesh, and be cheerful and friendly with others. This is the love of God.

  • Use your gifts. You can love others by using your gifts to help others. For example, if your gift is to organize, then help someone organize an event. This will bring God praise and show the love of God.

  • Serve each other. When you serve in your church and community it gives you an opportunity for you to show God’s love to those around you.

  • Speak the Word of God into the lives of others. Doing so will show others that you care, and you will bring God praise and glory by walking in love with your words.

  • Help each other. When someone is in need, help them by giving your time, praying for them, helping them with the situation by being ever-ready and hands on. This is the love of God.

Remember, none of the above is not done in our own strength! It is done with the strength and energy that God supplies. Praise God! I don’t have to do this alone because the word of God tells me that the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. So, all I have to do is tap into the Holy Spirit and His strength and then I can effectively love others. By loving others, my life will bring God glory and praise!

Life of Praise Pt. 4

Hello Partners and Friends!

Today we are going to continue with our discussion of how our life can be a life of Praise unto God. Our key scripture for this message is found in Ephesians 1:12 and it states: “As a result, we- the first to place our hope in the anointed one- will live in a way to bring Him glory and praise.”  It is God’s desire that our life here upon the earth brings Him glory and praise; and because it is His desire for us to do so, it should be our desire also! This is the only way the world will see who God is: through us, His family, His body. But, if our life does not bring Him glory and praise, we are representing the body of Christ unjustly. So, we started a couple of weeks ago discussing six ways we can bring God glory and praise with our lives. Below is a re-cape of those six things.

Six ways to bring Glory and Praise to God

  1. By telling others about Jesus

  2. By becoming Christ-like

  3. By worshipping and praising Him

  4. By loving others

  5. By serving others with the gifts Christ has blessed you with

  6. By walking in our inheritance

We have addressed the first two, and today we will discuss the third way. We bring God glory and praise just by lifting our voice unto Him in praise and worship. In Psalms 50:23 (KJV), the word tells us that “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God. In Psalms 86:12(KJV) the scripture states, “I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.” Lastly, 2 Cor. 4:15 (TPT) states, “Yes, all things work for your enrichment so that more of God’s marvelous grace will spread to more and more people, resulting in an even greater increase of praise to God, bringing him even more glory!”

In all the above verses, we see that our voice lifted up to God brings Him glory and praise. In Psalms 50:23, we are told that when we offer praise to God it glorifies Him. Think about it, C4C partners and friends! Don’t we want to glorify God for all He has done in our lives? Get out a journal right now and start writing down everything God has done for you! Start with the little things and then move to the bigger things, and you will see that you have many things to praise God for.

We praise Him for the air we breathe and the voice to speak. We praise Him for the roof over our head and the food we eat. We praise Him for the Blood of the Lamb and the name of Jesus. We praise Him for we are never alone for He is always with us. We praise Him for our friends and family and those who love us. We praise Him for all He has done.

Choose today, partners and friends, to let your life be a life of praise!
